Vacancy – Finance Manager

Salary: £48,474 – £50,512 (Band J)

We are looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic accountancy professional to join our finance team as our new Finance Manager. This is an exciting time to join the Authority as we are currently in the procurement phase of a new multi-million-pound Waste Management and recycling contract along with the introduction of a new financial reporting system.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the financial and accounting framework for Local Government along with knowledge of current issues facing Local Government Finance.

As a qualified professional you will co-ordinate all revenue and capital budgets of the Authority, provide relevant statutory financial information and co-ordinate all external financial returns.

Reporting to the Director of Finance you will play a pivotal role in the effective and compliant delivery of the Authority’s financial management function.
